New mechanisms regulating oligodendroglial differentiation: focus on the GPR17 receptor and a related microRNA.

The GPR17 receptor is emerging both as an important player in oligodendroglial physiology and as a sensor of damage in CNS lesions.
However, its upstream pathways are largely unknown and its regulation under different pathophysiological conditions remains elusive.
Here, we analyze the GPR17 gene regulation and its possible post-transcriptional regulation via microRNAs.
